About Green Trails Inn

In the center of the village, overlooking Sunset Lake and the longest floating bridge east of the Mississippi River, is the Green Trails Inn. In the center of it all, this seventeen-acre country estate provides quiet, private, comfortable elegance from which you can enjoy all of Vermont`s seasonal splendors. The Green Trails Inn is comprised of two historic buildings. The center of the complex is the Marcus Peck House, built in the 1840`s and former home of Jessie Fisk, a prominent Brookfield resident and botanist, and one of the first women professors at Rutgers University. The second, an eighteenth-century guesthouse, still retains a corner room decorated with original wall stenciling. A full breakfast is included in the room rate.
